The 2024-25 season is getting closer to its end with every passing week, and chances are bright for FC Barcelona to end their campaign on a very high note, winning all three big trophies.

However, the Catalans are also wary of some of the shortcomings in their current squad and are looking to fill them in when the next summer transfer window opens.

The flanks will be among the positions that the Blaugranes will look to reinforce in this window, as they want to bring more competent and experienced players to cover for Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde.

For this purpose, Barcelona have already been linked with several players, including the likes of Marc Pubill, Vanderson, and Frimpong. Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport (h/t Fichajes) has named another player whom it claims is also on the list for Deco, i.e., the 26-year-old Fiorentina defender, Dodô.

The report claims that his agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, has already offered Dodô to the Catalans after having halted the negotiations for a contract renewal. His current contract with the Italian side goes till 2027.

Dodô is shining with the Italian team after having joined them back in the summer of 2022 from Shakhtar Donetsk for €15.40 million.

Although the 26-year-old Brazilian has been on the Blaugrana club’s scouting list for quite some time now, his good performances are particularly attracting their interest this season.

Barcelona like him, particularly for his intensity, attacking ability, and international experience, as he has already played in top leagues across Portugal, Ukraine, and Italy.

However, for now, he is just another name among the several that are on the Catalan club’s list, and a final decision on whether an operation for his signing should be launched would depend on several factors, including the fee Fiorentina demands and the financial resources and fair play available to Barcelona.
