Premier League title pushers Chelsea look primed for a deep run in the Europa Conference League under Enzo Maresca, and are currently battling Irish outfit Shamrock Rovers at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues, who came into tonight's fixture with five wins in five continental outings, have been dominant in the capital and took an expected lead through Spanish youngster Marc Guiu via a close-range header in the 23rd minute.
But Rovers have been a goal threat throughout the Conference League group stage, and the Irish side, who arrived at the Bridge among the automatic qualification places, pegged the English giants back immediately through Markus Poom.
Guiu, however, would once again benefit from a second error at the back in the first half, completing his brace on the night while taking his Conference League goals total to five in six appearances thus far.
Chelsea then added a third and fourth on the night, first through midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and then Guiu again, who completed his hat trick in the first half.
That makes it six goals in six Conference League appearances for the La Masia graduate, and at current, has pulled ahead of Blues colleague Christopher Nkunku to lead the competition in the goal charts.
Is there more to come in West London?!
