Will Norris and Ryley Towler have been offered to League One clubs, while Owen Moxon could also depart.
Portsmouth are preparing to let three of their fringe players out on loan ahead of January's deadline day, with Will Norris, Ryley Towler and Owen Moxon likely to depart.
That's according to Darren Witcoop on X, who has reported that Pompey are looking to free up some space in their squad.
John Mousinho's side are currently just above the relegation zone in 21st, but they have just a two-point buffer over Derby County, and they have now lost their game in hand after they were beaten 1-0 by Millwall on Tuesday.
Portsmouth welcome Burnley to Fratton Park on Saturday, with the Clarets embroiled in the battle for automatic promotion in third place.
As per the report, Pompey have spoken to clubs about the availability of Norris and Towler, with both struggling for game time in the Championship this season.
The former has not featured for the club since their 6-1 defeat to Stoke City in October, despite helping Portsmouth to the League One title last time out.
Tower has been used more frequently at centre-back in recent weeks by Mousinho, but he has also struggled for game time in the Championship throughout the campaign.
There is also interest in Moxon, just two days after the Pompey manager dismissed any link between the midfielder and Charlton Athletic. Like Towler, the midfielder has made 12 appearances in the league in 2024/25, but he has been forced to watch on from the bench in Portsmouth's last five matches.
Pompey have recovered well after a bitterly disappointing start to the season, and they have given themselves an excellent chance at staying in the second tier.
However, their away form has been a problem, and they have now lost five away games in a row in the league.
Mousinho is keen to get his squad to a Championship level and letting go of three players who he does not think are at the standards he needs at the moment shows his ambitions and expectations.
Portsmouth have lost the advantage of having a game in hand on those around them, but they are in better form than their rivals, and if they can bring in some more experience and quality before Monday's deadline they will have enough to survive.
