These deals could be made by the Clarets before the summer deadline.
Even though Burnley have already made six signings this season, there is still scope for them to make more additions before the end of August.
Much of the current squad that Scott Parker has to work with is the one that came down from the Premier League. That group, which arguably wasn't similar enough to the one that got them promoted in the first place, did woefully underachieve compared to expectations but there is still some good talent at Turf Moor.
Nonetheless, they've felt that it's necessary to bulk out the playing staff even more, with the most recent addition being former Ipswich Town number one Vaclav Hladky.
What he and his Tractor Boy teammates achieved last season is what the Clarets are going for this time around. Burnley won't want to be caught short again if they do go up, and a bit more Premier League experience/talent could help them now and in the future.
Bournemouth shot-stopper Mark Travers has been linked with a move to Turf Moor already, in case current number one option James Trafford departs this summer.
Managers bringing in players they've previously worked with is no new thing. It constantly happens and makes even more sense when said player did well for the coach, which is what happened when Parker led AFC Bournemouth to promotion in the 2021/22 campaign.
Travers would give Hladky great competition, if they end up being the two between-the-sticks options, and the Cherries probably wouldn't mind making a bit of profit from an academy player if the opportunity presented itself.
Sticking with the former player theme, Jaidon Anthony had probably the best season of his career when he was under the tutelage of the Burnley boss. The 24-year-old provided 15 combined goals and assists in that aforementioned promotion campaign with Bournemouth.
The Clarets aren't short of options in wide areas but Luca Koleosho is the only one to have made himself stand out above the rest. There is certainly room for a player like Anthony.
After a very impressive loan spell with League One-winning Portsmouth last time out, Australian playmaker Alex Robertson is in need of more minutes.
He's now into the final year of his contract, so he could be available to a team like Pompey either on loan or for transfer, depending on what Manchester City decide to do with him. Either way, Robertson be a fantastic player for Burnley to have.
His silkiness on the ball made him an instant fan favourite at Fratton Park and his skills would fit well with a side that'll be hoping to be at the top end of the league.
Portsmouth want him back and Cardiff City reportedly have him on their list of midfield options. It would be some coup if Turf Moor was where he ended up.
Newly promoted Ipswich are said to be open to loaning out Ali Al-Hamadi, who they bought in the January window from AFC Wimbledon for just over £1 million.
Oxford United are the ones that are said to be looking at pouncing on this apparent opportunity to get the Iranian international on a temporary basis and Burnley should look at it too.
He's a bit of a different profile to what they already have at number nine. He can by physically overwhelming and he has the ability to stretch defences.
