The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have drawn up an extensive shortlist of midfield targets for the summer transfer window.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

It is of course now common knowledge that those in a position of power at Real Madrid are on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to next season.

A year on from the departure of club legend Toni Kroos, Luka Modrić is primed to follow suit, news made official by Los Blancos on Thursday.

Such exits leave a gaping hole in the engine room ranks at the Santiago Bernabéu, ahead of the imminent arrival of Xabi Alonso on the Real bench.

A search for fresh blood, in turn, has long been kicked into gear.

And as alluded to above, late this week, an insight into just some of the profiles in the sights of Florentino Pérez and co. has been provided.

As per AS, bids for the following players are being taken into consideration at Real Madrid ahead of the summer:

Rodri (Manchester City), Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool), Tijjani Reijnders (AC Milan), Enzo Fernández (Chelsea), Angelo Stiller (Stuttgart), Hugo Larsson (Eintracht Frankfurt).
