Manchester United are set to face West Ham United in the Premier League at the London Stadium on Sunday.

Mohammed Kudus was given a straight red card following a VAR review during the Hammers’ 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Kudus fouled Micky van de Ven and then kicked him while he was on the floor.

He followed it up by pushing the defender and Pape Matar Sarr in the face in a moment of madness.

The forward was clearly frustrated after West Ham let Spurs stage a comeback by scoring three second-half goals.

Kudus will be suspended for the upcoming three games, including Sunday’s fixture against the Red Devils.

His absence is a major boost for Erik ten Hag. The 24-year-old is known for his lively play.

He scored his second Premier League goal of the season against Spurs to put his side ahead.

Kudus enjoyed a fantastic debut campaign last year, bagging eight goals and six assists in 33 league games.

United were eager to sign Kudus from Ajax before he opted to move to the London outfit in a deal worth £35 million.

He has dazzled with his attacking prowess but his naivety against Spurs led to a costly red card.

The singer netted the second West Ham goal when they hosted United in December 2023.

The forward took advantage of Kobbie Mainoo’s miscued pass and fired his shot in the bottom corner past Andre Onana.

The Red Devils showed character to register a 2-1 victory over Brentford to climb to 11th spot in the league table on Saturday.

Another positive performance and result could ease pressure on the United manager.
