‘A scandal’ – Gerard Piqué singles one Barcelona star out for praise during Getafe clash | OneFootball

Barcelona legend Gerard Piqué has taken to social media on Saturday evening, to make clear his appreciation for the talents of a current member of Hansi Flick’s squad.

The player in question? Pedri.

Barcelona are of course locked in action at present.

Fresh off booking their spot in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey in midweek, the Blaugrana have turned attentions back towards matters on the La Liga front.

Early in the 2nd-half at the Estadio Coliseum, Barca find themselves locked at a goal apiece, in a meeting with Getafe.

This comes after Jules Koundé’s early opener was cancelled out by Mauro Arambarri just beyond the half-hour mark.

Koundé’s fine finish came after nothing short of a remarkable pass on the part of the aforementioned Pedri, who split Getafe’s backline wide open courtesy of a moment of individual brilliance.

And, as alluded to above, one individual on whom such excellence was not at all lost was Gerard Piqué.

Taking to his official ‘X’ account, ex-Blaugrana defender Piqué wrote:
