Arne Slot’s Liverpool and Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United will now get the chance to sign Alphonso Davies.

That is according to Bild journalist Christian Falk, who has reported on X that Real Madrid and Manchester City will also be offered Davies.

Davies is out of contract at Bayern at the end of the season. Although the Bavarian giants are trying to convince the left-back to sign a new deal, there is no agreement yet.

Falk has reported that the Canada international’s agent is now keen on meeting with Madrid, Liverpool and United to discuss a potential deal.

It is unlikely that Bayern, who are aiming to win the Bundesliga title this season, will sell Davies in the January transfer window, so presumably talks between his agent and the aforementioned Premier League clubs will be over a summer move.

While United are arguably the biggest club in England, it is hard to see Davies pick the Red Devils over Liverpool at the moment.

After all, the Red Devils are nowhere near competing for the Premier League title. Ruben Amorim’s side will not even finish in the top four this season.

Davies, who earns £132,000 per week (SalarySport), would slot straight into the United starting line-up because of the issues that they face at left-back, with Luke Shaw a constant injury worry.

However, the 24-year-old is unlikely to consider a move to Old Trafford if his agent is able to agree a deal with Liverpool, who have also been linked with Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.

Like United, Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world and have a global fanbase.

In Arne Slot’s first season, the Merseyside outfit could win the Premier League and perhaps even the Champions League.

Andy Robertson has not been at his best for a while, and there is room for Davies to establish himself in the Liverpool starting line-up next season.
