As the final days of the winter transfer window approach, FC Barcelona continue to explore potential solutions for Ansu Fati’s uncertain future. The young forward remains a key talking point within the club, with limited playing opportunities under Hansi Flick raising questions about his next steps.

Despite Ansu’s desire to stay at Barcelona, the club remains open to facilitate a move that could free up salary space while also providing the winger with regular playing time to regain his form.

Barcelona have been in discussions with his agent, Jorge Mendes, to identify a suitable destination that aligns with both the player’s ambitions and the club’s long-term strategy. While several clubs have expressed interest in the talented attacker, a new opportunity has emerged that could be particularly appealing.

Ajax’s Interest in Ansu Fati

According to Dutch outlet Telegraaf (h/t SPORT), Ajax have inquired about the possibility of signing Ansu Fati on loan until the end of the season. The Eredivisie giants are actively seeking an attacking reinforcement, particularly a winger with goal-scoring ability.

Their initial target, Real Valladolid’s Raúl Moro, suffered a broken collarbone, prompting the Dutch club to shift their focus to alternative options. Ansu has emerged as one of the most attractive candidates, alongside Carlos Forbs (Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Rabbi Matondo (Rangers).

Ajax’s sporting director is working against the clock to secure a dynamic forward who can add pace and creativity to the squad. Despite Ansu’s struggles at Brighton last season, Ajax believe their tactical setup could help him rediscover his best form.

The Position of Barcelona and the Road Ahead

FC Barcelona have enjoyed a strong relationship with Ajax in recent years, completing several transfer deals between the two clubs. The Blaugranes are open to facilitating the move and could even assist in covering part of his salary if necessary. However, Ansu’s approval remains a crucial factor in determining the outcome.

Hansi Flick has made it clear that Ansu has to improve to gain prominence, but the 22-year-old has so far resisted leaving. While he has received multiple offers, none have convinced him to make a move.

The Catalans see a loan as a key step in helping him regain rhythm, boost his market value, and reassess his long-term future ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. However, all eyes will be on whether the Blaugrana youngster decides to take this opportunity or continue fighting for a place under Hansi Flick.
