Ajax outsmart competition and sign talent from PSG

Ajax have signed Roméo Garnier (16) from Paris Saint-Germain. Garnier will come to Amsterdam this summer after putting pen to paper on a contract that runs until mid-2028.

“We are delighted with the arrival of Roméo Garnier,” director of football Marijn Beuker said on the club website.

“He is an intelligent striker with a nose for goal and an excellent sense of positioning in and around the penalty area. He also has a natural scoring ability, which makes him a very complete striker for his age.”

Beuker outlined that top international clubs were reportedly after the French talent, yet a proud Ajax were the ones able to tempt him to a transfer. Garnier will join the club’s Under-17 set up.
