Ajax's five-game winning streak in the Eredivisie is over after a 2-2 draw with Twente on Sunday.
Scorers: Vlap 42', 65'; Klaassen 59', Traoré 67'
Francesco Farioli's men were riding a high after beating Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven in the league but stumbled on the road in Twente after some sloppy mistakes.
Youri Baas played a poor back pass inside his own box and gifted the ball to Michel Vlap, who took one step and blasted home from range for the opener.
Behind at the break, Ajax then rallied for an equaliser when Davy Klaassen slid home at the back post to convert Kenneth Taylor's pass.
But Vlap popped up again minutes later following a second miscue.
A giveaway from Wout Weghorst sent the hosts on the counter, and the ball eventually found the midfielder, who curled home from the edge of the box.
Thankfully in a flash, Kenneth Taylor turned provider for Ajax a second time and teed up Bertrand Traoré who slammed home from point blank range.
The draw means Aajax dropped points for the first time since 21 September and sit third. Twente meanwhile are fifth.
