Alexis Saelemaekers is hoping to accelerate his recovery from a recent ankle fractured which he suffered in the match against Genoa.
The Belgian winger was only able to feature twice for Roma before getting injured and requiring surgery.
Last September 17th Saelemaekers underwent surgery in Antwerp, and after a few days in Belgium he returned to the capital to begin treatment at Fulvio Bernardini.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, in about ten days he will fly back to Belgium for an initial check-up: if everything goes well he will remove the brace and begin physiotherapy which will be carried out entirely by Fulvio Bernardini with the Giallorossi staff.
The stated objective is to get him back into the group after the November break, perhaps earning a call-up for the match against Napoli on the 24th of the same month.
Saelemaekers’ goal is certainly to return to play in 2024: whether it will be after the break or a few games later will be decided by him together with the club.
