América are looking tie down two defenders in advance of the upcoming play-offs and in order to create some stability for next season.
The players in question are centre-back Emanuel Aguilera and right-back Paul Aguilar.
According to a TUDN report, Las Águilas are very confident Aguilera will choose to extend his stay at the club.
The 31-year-old Argentine joined the Azulcrema for the 2018 Clausura, and is almost certain to sign a new deal before his current contract expires in December.
It is not so clear-cut for Paul Aguilar. The 34-year-old has spent almost a decade at the Estadio Azteca since moving from Pachuca in 2011.
América are likely to reward his service with the offer of a one-year extension, though it is not yet known if the former Mexico international will sign on for another season.
