L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Angers do not intend to activate their €4.2m option to purchase defensive midfielder Ibrahim Amadou from Sevilla, following the loan spell he has enjoyed with the club this season.
The 28-year-old is likely to fall victim to the fact that Angers must reduce their wage bill by €10m in line for next season owing to the COVID-19-induced economic crisis.
Ultimately, Amadou’s salary is too considerable for Le SCO to entertain his permanent signing as a possibility.
