One player who could add what Manchester City need in midfield is AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders. The Dutch international is a player who can play multiple roles in midfield and also has an eye for goal. Technically, he is a gifted player with the potential to be a real weapon in Pep Guardiola’s squad if he were to arrive at the Etihad this summer. Reijnders has scored 14 goals for AC Milan in 46 appearances in all competitions which demonstrates how adept as a goalscoring midfielder. Based on the strengths of Reijnders game he’d be a quality addition to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Now a new report from Sacha Tavolieri for SkySports indicates that Tijjani Reijnders could find a move to Manchester City irresistible. Reijnders believes that he could take his game to another level under Pep Guardiola’s tutelage as per Sacha Tavolieri’s report. Furthermore, Tavolieri reports that AC Milan has set an asking price of £56 million to sell the Dutch international. Tavolieri further reports that Manchester City intend to pay the asking price for the AC Milan midfielder.

Based on Sacha Tavolieri’s new report it appears that the stars are aligning for Manchester City to move for Tijjani Reijnders this summer. The Dutch international would add something different to City’s midfield. Also, Reijnders is only 26 years of age so he is entering the prime years of his career. Manchester City do need to fill that particular age group in their squad. If they could sign Reijnders they’d be adding a player who could also help fill the void left by Kevin De Bruyne’s impending departure. On paper at least City moving for Tijjani Reijnders makes sense on multiple fronts.
