In a recent report, The Independent revealed that Arsenal are eyeing a move for Ajax striker Brian Brobbey. It has been stated that the Gunners are eager to acquire the services of the Dutch centre-forward in the summer.
Brobbey has enjoyed a productive campaign at the Amsterdam club after he put in a run of impressive performances as the focal point of their attack. The 22-year-old has banged in 22 goals and picked up 12 assists in 43 appearances for Ajax this season across all fronts.
The Dutch talent has led the line well and deserves a ton of credit for averaging 2.8 shots, 1.5 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Dutch Eredivisie. He has also been accurate when distributing possession in the opponent’s half based on his pass completion rate of 79.1% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
Brobbey is under contract at the Dutch club until the summer of 2027 which could make it tough for the Gunners to sign him on the cheap in the upcoming transfer period.

Brobbey excels at finding some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer some decent chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball as well.
The Dutch forward has proven himself to be a capable finisher in front of the opponent’s goal. However, there are some concerns over whether he can maintain his good form in Premier League football if the Gunners can devise a way to bring him on board when the transfer window reopens at the end of this campaign.
Brobbey would add more firepower to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s attacking department. He has what it takes to help the North London club challenge for the Premier League title once again next season if he can make a smooth transition to life in English football.
At 22, Brobbey has the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. Thus, he would be a great choice for the Gunners to consider in this summer transfer window.
