Lommel kept up their winning star to the season thanks to a 2-1 victory over Lierse. This gives the side four wins from four, all of which have come by the margin of one goal. Lierse became the first side to score against the men in green and white after Thibaut van Acker grabbed an equaliser for the hosts in the 50th minute. Lucas Schoofs had opened the scoring 10 minutes before half-time to give Lommel the lead. With just 14 minutes to play, the away side grabbed all three points. Brazilian striker Arthur Sales grabbed his second goal of the season with a wonderful lob.
The side who are part of the City Group are the only team to have won all four games, as well as the only side not to have lost yet. Under former Arsenal player and assistant coach Steve Bould, the team are showing defensive qualities and the ability to take their chance at the other end. While there is still plenty of time left in the season, fans of the club will be starting to dream of promotion to the top flight for the first time in Lommel’s current iteration.
