FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official England squad update from The Football Association this afternoon.
Centre-back Wubben-Moy was included in England head coach Sarina Wiegman’s initial squad selection for this month’s UEFA Women’s Nations League fixtures against Scotland and The Netherlands, however, the player has pulled out with an injury. Her replacement Parker is yet to make a senior appearance for the Lionesses, although she has previously been called upon into the squad.
In other news, it has been reported that Arsenal forward Alessia Russo will link-up with the squad at St George’s Park on Wednesday. The player has enjoyed a short period of recuperation ahead of the latest international window. Russo has already played competitive football for new club Arsenal in Round 1 of this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League, just weeks after the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 final.
England kick-off their inaugural UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign with a home fixture against Scotland at The Stadium of Light in Sunderland on Friday evening before travelling to Utrecht to take on The Netherlands next Tuesday.
