Despite making only minimal additions to their squad in the last summer transfer window, FC Barcelona have had a great start to the 2024-25 season, and the Blaugranes are looking to be one of the most in-form teams in Europe.

Several Blaugrana players have stepped up their game since Hansi Flick’s arrival, with the forward line of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal reaping the most benefits from the change in management.

All three of these attackers are in very good form and have been integral for Barcelona as they lead the La Liga table. However, the good form they are showing is not benefitting everyone at the Catalan club.

This is particularly the case for the forwards on the bench, especially Ferran Torres. The €30m-rated Spaniard started the season as a starter and has 5 starts to his name, but his importance in the team had been declining, and he was more of a substitute even before he suffered his latest injury.

Despite this decreasing importance at Barcelona, his stock in the Premier League remains high as SPORT has reported that two English clubs are interested in signing the Spanish winger, Arsenal and Aston Villa.

FC Barcelona are open to listening to offers for him, but despite his decreasing importance in the team, the winger himself is not too keen to depart the Blaugrana club, as he is convinced that he will be getting more minutes under Flick.

The former Manchester City forward was linked with a move away from Barcelona last summer too, but he had no plans to leave despite the arrival of Dani Olmo and the Blaugranes’ pursuit of Nico Williams.

But keeping in view his situation, both Mikel Arteta and Unai Emery are interested in signing him, as both these managers know the player, and are willing to pay a reasonable price for him.

Barcelona themselves are not too keen to see their squad getting depleted in January, but if they were to part ways with a forward, they would rather see Ansu Fati leave than Ferran Torres.
