Villa Park is the venue for this showdown, which will be televised on Sky Sports Premier League, between two teams well in the hunt to secure Champions League football next season.
Whoever prevails will boost their hopes of securing a top-four finish.
Only Mohamed Salah (27) and Erling Haaland (21) have scored more Premier League goals than Isak this season (20).
The Swede, who scored the winner in the Carabao Cup final, has also netted three times in as many appearances against Villa.
It will be difficult to keep Newcastle’s attacking threat quiet for 90 minutes, though Villa have plenty of their own quality at that end of the field.
Emery’s side have found the net in each of their last 12 matches in all competitions, while the Magpies have kept just one clean sheet from a possible eight.
Villa appear to have hit form at exactly the right time this season.
Unai Emery’s side, at the time of writing, have won each of their last seven matches across all competitions.
As well as facing Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals, they also have an FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace to look forward to.
A second successive top-four finish is well within reach for Villa, though Newcastle are among the teams aiming to pip them to the spot.
The Magpies will definitely be playing European football in some form next season, following their fairytale Carabao Cup triumph last month.
But Eddie Howe will be aiming high, and a positive result here would certainly boost their hopes of playing in the Champions League next term.
Villa will be hoping they have no fresh injury concerns following their Champions League quarter-final second leg against PSG.
Leon Bailey should be back in contention, while Ross Barkley could be available following a knee injury.
Alexander Isak, Joelinton, Anthony Gordon and Kieran Trippier should be available to Howe following their recent returns from injury.
However, Lewis Hall, Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles remain long-term absentees.
Newcastle have prevailed in five of the last six meetings between the sides.
