Atalanta’s Mitchel Bakker set for loan at Lille | OneFootball

According to a report by Le Parisien, Atalanta BC’s Mitchel Bakker (24) is set to arrive at Lille OSC on a loan until the end of the season.

This will mark a return to Ligue 1 for Bakker who spent two seasons in France when he joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 from his formative club Ajax. The defender managed to win the league title in his first season despite only making one league appearance for the club.

Bakker was used far more frequently in his second and final campaign with Les Parisiens and even started for the club during the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Manchester City (which the French side lost 2-1).

Bakker eventually left for Bayer Leverkusen in 2021 where he found more regular game time but again exited after two seasons to join Atalanta where he was used predominantly from the bench as he made 20 appearances across all competitions.
