Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has been forced to admit that one thing change the club’s big summer transfer plans this season.

Things have been going from bad to worse for Enzo Maresca and his Chelsea players since Christmas time as they lost again at the weekend.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea will ‘go big’ for three positions in the summer with host of names revealed!!

The Blues lost 2-1 against Aston Villa on Saturday evening after being 1-0 up inside the first 20 minutes. I think Chelsea fans would have just expected even at that point, that their side were still going to lose this game, and they did.

Chelsea could not score and were really terrible. Even Cole Palmer was terrible, and he was seen trying to blame others for a bad pass that HE himself made. This just about sums everything up right now.

They have a chance to get a vital three points tonight though at home to Southampton in what has become a must win game without debate.

Bad news though

Maresca admits missing out on Champions League qualification this season could impact their summer transfer business.

“For sure if we finish top four and we can play in the Champions League next season we can convince players to come here,” Maresca said. “But players that are already here? I don’t think we need that.”

Haha yeah, I wouldn’t be so sure of that Maresca. I’m pretty sure that if Chelsea miss out on UCL yet again this season then there is going to be more than a handful of very restless players seeking to move in order to play in Europe at the top level.
