The 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place on September 22nd, 2025 in Paris.

Football’s most prestigious individual accolade will be presented in the French capital, to honour the player deemed world football’s finest during the 2024/25 campaign.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele is the current frontrunner for the award. Dembele has scored 33 goals in all competitions during a career-best campaign, leading PSG’s pursuit of a historic quadruple.

The French champions have won Ligue 1 and the Trophée des Champions, with the Champions League and Coupe de France finals still to come.

Barcelona pair Lamine Yamal and Raphinha are also in contention, having helped the Spanish side to a domestic double this season.

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is another name in the frame. Salah has set a new Premier League record for goals and assists in a Premier League season (46) to help the Reds to a record-equalling 20th top-flight title.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri was winner of the 2024 award, following his role in the club’s Premier League title success and Spain’s victory at the European Championship.
