Although they are among the best offensively performing sides in Spain and Europe this season, FC Barcelona are still looking to reinforce their attack in the upcoming summer transfer window.

While there are no doubts about the quality of the starting trio of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal, the Catalans understand they will need more depth in the forward line to make their team a true contender for all the possible titles.

In this context, they have been linked with several exciting names, including the Liverpool forward Luis Díaz and the AC Milan winger Rafael Leão.

But this list continues to grow, as Fichajes reports that Barcelona are also closely monitoring the situation of the Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho, considering him a potential addition to their squad.

There are no doubts about the €50m-rated Argentine international’s talents and he has featured regularly under Ruben Amorim in recent weeks. The Portuguese coach did leave Garnacho out of the squad for one game early on in his tenure citing training issues but the pair have since reconciled.

However, on the pitch, Garnacho has shown incredible promise with his speed and his ability in one-on-one situations. The issue with him, however, is that the Argentinian is extremely inconsistent and has the ability to dazzle and frustrate in the same game multiple times.

Even during January, the attacker was linked with an exit from Old Trafford, although that was more down to non-sporting reasons. Man Utd are not a financially blessed team, and selling him would have helped them generate pure profit. This could again be the case come summer.

Meanwhile, his characteristics would allow him to fit well in this Barcelona team, while his youth and potential to grow further would further make him a highly attractive option for the Blaugranes.

Thus, the coming few months can turn out to be pivotal for his career, as the Red Devils will be looking to make a final decision about his future, while Barcelona and other interested sides will remain attentive to his situation.
