Sandro Tonali’s camp has been informed that Barcelona are monitoring the Italy and Newcastle star and could consider intensifying their pursuit next summer.
The 24-year-old has gradually regained his untouchable status at the Magpies since returning from his betting ban at the beginning of the season, prompting coach Eddie Howe to start him in 14 of their last 16 Premier League games, as well as in every match of their title-winning Carabao Cup campaign.
Tonali’s form for both Italy and Newcastle has reignited admiration from several European clubs, including Serie A giants Milan and Juventus, though a potential deal is considered too expensive for Italian sides.

According to Calciomercato.com, Barcelona are the latest club to join the list of Tonali’s suitors and could attempt to lure him away from St. James’ Park next summer.
Roberto Mancini’s son, Andrea Mancini, now works as a collaborator for Blaugrana sporting director Deco and has reportedly submitted a recent report on the midfielder.
Barcelona have reportedly contacted Tonali’s entourage to express their interest, though no negotiations have taken place yet.

However, Newcastle value the Italy international at more than the €60 million they paid to sign him from Milan in 2023.
While a return to Milan does not appear likely in the near future, Calciomercato.com claims that Tonali has reiterated to his agents his desire to play for the Rossoneri again someday, as his bond with the club and its fans remains strong.
