As Barcelona got ready for their UEFA Champions League clash later tonight, it was a busy morning for the club’s sporting director, Deco.
Indeed, several agents, sporting directors, and intermediaries took advantage of the occasion to hold meetings and discuss outstanding matters with the club director and other officials.
One such encounter saw Deco hold a meeting with the agent of youngsters Pablo Torre and Hector Fort, reports Jijantes.
The meeting was understood to have lasted approximately one hour and was described as informal and protocol-based. But it served as an opportunity to review the current situations of both players.
Pablo Torre’s involvement in the first team has been very limited this season, especially in the second half of the campaign, largely owing to the quality ahead of him in the attacking midfield position.
It is worth noting that during the winter transfer window, FC Porto made a late attempt to sign Torre.

However, Barcelona ultimately decided to block the move, believing that the young midfielder still had a place and potential to develop within the current squad.
The youngster did see some minutes in two of Barça’s last three La Liga games after a run of six without any action. But the possibility of a loan exit in the summer looms.
Meanwhile, as for Hector Fort, his opportunities have also been very limited, primarily due to the exceptional form of Jules Kounde.
The French defender has enjoyed a standout campaign, reaching the milestone of 100 consecutive appearances for club and country, which has naturally restricted the La Masia youngster’s minutes on the pitch.
With Barça in the market for a new right-back in the summer, there may be a possibility that Fort, too, is loaned out next season.
The meeting between Deco and the agent did not result in any immediate decisions but provided both parties with an opportunity to align perspectives on the players’ progress and expectations moving forward.
