The year 2024 has been nothing short of remarkable for Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal. Not only has he established himself as a permanent fixture in the team for the Catalans, but he is also one of the faces of the Spanish national team.

Lamine was named the Best Young Player of the Tournament as La Roja won the UEFA Euro 2024 this past summer.

Following that, the 17-year-old La Masia sensation won the Kopa Trophy and the Golden Boy award while taking his game to a whole new level this season.

Lamine’s rise reflected in his sky-high market value

As a result of his meteoric rise, Lamine Yamal, over the course of the year, had seen his market value, assigned by market Transfermarkt, shoot through the skies.

Now with Transfermarkt updating their latest market values for all top five leagues in Europe, Yamal has reached a new high.

Indeed, the 17-year-old Barcelona Golden Boy’s market value has shot up from €150 million to a whopping €180 million.

It makes him the third most valuable player in the world only behind Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland and Real Madrid ace Vinicius Jr., both of whom boast a market value of €200 million.

In fact, Yamal, with his latest rise, has gone past Real Madrid’s marquee summer signing Kylian Mbappe, whose market value has taken a hit and dropped to €160 million after a rather subdued start to life in Spain.

Yamal is tied with another Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham, whose market value also is €180 million.

This represents another cap in the feather of the La Masia sensation who continues to soar to greater heights with each passing day.

Raphinha, Pedri, Pau Cubarsi experience rise

Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal is not the only Barcelona player to experience a hike in his market value.

Fellow teenage defender Pau Cubarsi has seen his value more than double as it has gone from €30 million to a cool €70 million.

Meanwhile, Raphinha, who been simply outstanding this term for Barça, sees his market value grow by €20 million – going to €80 million from €60 million.

Pedri, who is back to his best, breaks into the €100 million club, while Marc Casado (€45 million), Alejandro Balde (€50 million) and Inaki Pena (€10 million) have also experienced rises.

The likes of Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong, and Ferran Torres, who have missed chunks of the season due to injuries have seen their market values dip slightly.
