Barcelona continued their quest for a third Women's Champions League in a row with a stunning 6-1 quarter final victory (10-2 on aggregate) over Wolfsburg at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.
Scorers: Paralluelo 10', 20'; Brugts 41', Pina 62', 77'; Beerensteyn 72'
Showing little sign of any damage from their first-ever loss to Real Madrid at the weekend, Barça ended both the game and the tie as a contest inside 20 minutes.
More specifically, Salma Paralluelo did, with two fine strikes. Her first came after Wolfsburg gave away the ball in their own half, leading to the winger streaking into the box and finishing past Anneke Borbe with a rasping left-footed shot.
Her second came with her right foot, as she coolly sidefooted home Alèxia Putellas' cutback after some neat build play outside the box.
Esmee Brugts made it three just before half time with a great strike from distance as Wolfsburg continued to chase shadows either side of the break.
Just after the hour, Clàudia Pina made it four mere moments after coming off the bench, turning and smashing a low finish beyond the reaches of Borbe.
The German side got themselves on the scoresheet with 18 minutes to go through substitute Lineth Beerensteyn. It was a mistake from Cata Coll, who raced out to clear a ball but kicked it off a player, allowing Beerensteyn to smartly finish.
Pina restored her side's four-goal lead with the goal of the night shortly after, curling home a stunning free-kick that gave Borbe absolutely no chance.
Mapi León put the seal on a staggering win with an equally brilliant free-kick in added time.
In what was a repeat of a fiercely fought 2023 final, the difference between the sides was staggering, and it will have to take something special to stop Barcelona this season, who are now into a seventh consecutive semi final.
The champions will now face either Chelsea or Manchester City looking to make a fourth final in five years.
