Barcelona joined in pursuit of Man United star Rashford by 2nd La Liga club | OneFootball

A 2nd leading La Liga club have positioned themselves in the race for the signature of Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.

That’s according to Diario Sport, citing English outlet TBR Football, who point towards Atlético Madrid as the outfit in question.

The name of frontman Rashford has of course positioned itself front and centre in the media headlines in Spain over the course of recent days.

This comes after the revelation that the 27-year-old is ready to depart Old Trafford next summer was followed by swift links with the aforementioned Barcelona.

As much comes amid an ongoing search for reinforcements out wide on the part of the Blaugrana.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest update on the situation to have surfaced on Thursday is anything to go by, then Deco and co. could well face competition from a direct rival for Rashford’s signing.

As per Sport:

‘British media outlet TBR Football report that Atletico Madrid would be willing to try a loan for Rashford. The Colchoneros could take advantage of the complicated situation that the Mancunian team is going through to strengthen their squad.’

It now remains to be seen whether or not the Man United board would be open to the prospect of farming Rashford out on loan.
