Barcelona continue to monitor the market for up-and-coming young players to add to their roster with an eye on the future.
Several exciting talents are on the Catalans’ radars, one of whom happens to be Argentine prodigy Alex Woiski, who plies his trade with RCD Mallorca’s Under-19 team.
Now, it appears that Barcelona have set their sights on another promising player, this time hailing from England.
Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are interested in Arsenal defensive prodigy Ayden Heaven and have already made an approach to sign him.
Heaven, 18, has a contract with the Gunners that expires at the end of the season and is yet to pen his first professional deal with the London club.
As such, interested parties can sign the teenager for a small compensation fee in the summer and Barcelona are one of the many clubs interested.

However, as per the update from Romano, it is Manchester United who are leading the race to sign Heaven as things stand. The Red Devils are understood to have also made contact with Arsenal regarding their youth prospect.
Eintracht Frankfurt from Germany are keen on signing the England Under-19 international while Arsenal are not ready to give up and have made a contract offer for the youngster.
Barcelona are an attractive destination for young talents considering how the first team is studded with a number of players from La Masia in key roles.
The likes of Gavi, Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde, Pau Cubarsi, and Marc Casado are all fixtures in the first-team setup at the club.
Following in their footsteps and making it big could appeal to a promising player like Heaven, although as things stand, it is Manchester United who are leading Barcelona and others in the transfer race.
