Speaking at the CosmoCaixa Auditorium during the presentation of the 23rd edition of the MIC Football Cup 2025, where he serves as the event’s sponsor, Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo has made the team’s goals for the season very clear.
The Blaugrana have enjoyed a fine season so far, having won the Spanish Super Cup, while being on top in La Liga as well as making it to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League and the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
The hopes of a historic treble are very much alive and Olmo made it known that Barcelona are aiming to win it all this season.
“The goal is to win everything, as it is,” said the Spanish international, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
It has not been easy going for Olmo at Barcelona as he faced registration issues upon signing and had to relive through the same problem again in January.
Olmo, though, reflected on his decision to return to his boyhood club after a decade despite initial contractual difficulties, believing it could turn into a memorable season.
“I’m here to win, I was convinced that we had the team to fight for everything, that we could win titles and we are alive in all competitions. That was the objective, to compete to win, and we are doing that in the most important phase of the season,” he said.

On being asked about the possibility of facing Real Madrid in the finals of the UEFA Champions League this season, Olmo replied: “It would be a good match, yes.”
When asked which three teammates he would choose to be locked in a room with, Olmo named Ferran Torres, Eric Garcia, and Pedri.
Talking about Hansi Flick’s style of management, Olmo remarked: “He’s like Eric, he’s a bit of a trickster….
“The truth is that there are moments for everything in daily life, in the talks, in the training sessions and we are very happy with him and the staff, they are very approachable.”
Olmo also took a moment to recall his own experiences as a child playing in the MIC Football Cup, one of the most prestigious youth tournaments, saying:
“The best memory is the experience, being able to play against teams that you don’t usually play against in the league. I would tell the kids who are playing this year to enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience.”
