Closing on February 3rd at midnight, there are only a few days left in the January transfer window, and up to now, the only business FC Barcelona have been able to do has been the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor and the contract renewal of Ronald Araujo.

But even with the end of the transfer window well within sight, SPORT reports that the Catalan club is still looking to bring in an offensive reinforcement for Hansi Flick’s team before the market closes.

Even though the German coach is quite satisfied with the squad he has on his hands, he would still like another striker in his team for the second half of the season, especially as the Blaugranes are going to play a lot of matches in the coming months, and the possibility of injuries cannot be ruled out.

In this regard, the Catalans have been linked closely with the Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, who is not really a part of Ruben Amorim’s plans and is looking for a way out of the English club.

Barcelona are well advanced in negotiations with the player’s agents, even if they have not yet have had any contacts with the Red Devils.

Even though Rashford is willing to lower his salary to join the Blaugranes on loan, the Azulgrana side will still have to obtain more salary margin to be able to incorporate him. For this purpose, there are several players who can depart Barcelona.

One such player is the reserve team player Unai Hernandez, who can possibly move to Saudi Arabia, leaving €5-6 million in the Blaugrana club’s coffers.

However, even this amount will not be enough, and there are two more players who can leave Barcelona. One of them is Ansu Fati, whose position in Flick’s squad has been quite precarious for the last few weeks, and his agent, Jorge Mendes, is looking for a solution by convincing him to move to another club.

The other player is Andreas Christensen, whose departure would be more likely as Juventus are interested in him despite the fact that he has not yet played after recovering from his tendinopathy in mid-January.

He has only a year and a half on his contract, so the Catalans are willing to let him leave, while the player also understands that playing time will be hard to come by at Barcelona.
