It has been recently reported that Ansu Fati may still have a chance to leave Barcelona this month, thanks to the persistence of two Turkish clubs.

Fenerbahce and Besiktas, in particular, are two clubs who haven’t yet given up on Fati and want to snap him up before the transfer market closes in Turkey on February 11.

While Besiktas are hopeful of uniting Fati with coach Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer, Fenerbahce coach Jose Mourinho wants to have the Barcelona forward under his wings.

Fati has no desire to leave Barcelona

However, despite the constant enquiries from Turkey, it appears Ansu Fati has no desire to leave Barcelona.

This is according to Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed that the Barcelona frontman is not considering a last-minute exit from Catalonia.

This is despite the fact that Fati has been informed of his lack of role at Barcelona. He has fallen out of favour under Hansi Flick, who is not counting on his services during the remainder of the campaign.

Fati, for his part, wants to continue at Barcelona and become a first-team regular. Unfortunately, the youngster’s dream has appeared more and more unlikely with each passing week.

Fati has indeed fallen behind the likes of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres and even Fermin Lopez in the pecking order, with no real hopes of a comeback.

Romano adds that the forward is not considering any move to Turkey. He wants to fully focus on Barcelona for the time being.

However, the player is likely to re-assess the situation once the season ends. One would imagine Barcelona, too, would like to finalise the attacker’s exit by then.
