Two members of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona played no part in group training on Thursday.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Ronald Araújo and Andreas Christensen as the pair in question.
Uruguayan international Araújo was of course forced to limp out of Barcelona’s weekend meeting with Sevilla, owing to an ankle injury.
After a three-day rest for Hansi Flick’s squad, the 25-year-old was in turn nowhere to be seen upon the Blaugrana reconvening at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
And also absent, as alluded to above, was fellow defender Andreas Christensen.
Danish international Christensen suffered a setback in his ongoing recovery efforts late last month, in picking up a calf injury during training.
And though the former Chelsea man is closing on an incoming return to competitive action, he has as of yet not been cleared for group activities.
Barcelona are set to return to action next Monday, in a La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano at Montjuïc.
