A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona looks increasingly likely to return to starting duties in the club’s next outing.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Dani Olmo as the player in question.
Spanish international Olmo, for his part, has not featured from the off in a league fixture since all the way back in mid-December.
This comes owing, first, to an injury blow, and then the mounting competition for a spot in Hansi Flick’s star-studded midfield.
The fact remains, though, that Olmo was Barcelona’s marquee signing last summer, with the player himself therefore expecting to work his way back into a starting role.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then as much could arrive as soon as Monday.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of Sport that Olmo looks set to be in the Barcelona XI to face Rayo Vallecano in a little over 24 hours’ time.
