A remarkable statistic, highlighting both the consistency and fitness levels of Barcelona star Jules Koundé, has this week come to the fore online.

This comes amid confirmation that the defender has not missed a single one of Barcelona’s last 68 fixtures across all competitions.

Koundé has for his part of course long established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet in Catalunya’s capital.

Since being converted into a right-back by former boss Xavi Hernández, the former Sevilla man has acted as a near ever-present in Barca’s backline.

This season, under the watch of Hansi Flick, Koundé has added a new element of attacking excellence to his game, too.

And yet, perhaps more impressive than anything else when it comes to the attributes boasted by the Frenchman is his ability to play week in, week out, again and again, with little to no rest.

As much is confirmed by the statistics, with it having today been revealed by Mundo Deportivo that Koundé has played some part in each and every one of the Blaugrana’s last 68 competitive games.

This is a run stretching all the way back to late 2023.
