Barcelona star limps out of Espanyol clash with injury | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Thursday evening been dealt a setback on the personnel front.

This comes owing to developments in the club’s meeting with Espanyol.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in the latest edition of the Derbi Barceloní.

Hansi Flick’s troops headed into proceedings in the knowledge that an eventual victory would see them officially crowned Spanish champions.

And as things stand at RCDE Stadium, this is precisely what the Blaugrana are headed towards.

Owing to a moment of individual brilliance on the part of youngster Lamine Yamal early in the 2nd-half, the evening’s visitors lead Espanyol by a goal to nil.

As alluded to above, though, on an otherwise positive night’s work for Barca to date, they have also been dealt a blow.

As much came on the personnel front, upon Ronald Araújo pulling up with a sudden fitness problem, before limping from the field of play.

It now remains to be seen if the Uruguayan, replaced by Pau Cubarsí on Thursday, is facing up to an incoming spell on the sidelines.
