Barcelona star ruled out of Young Boys clash | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona will play no part in the club’s next outing on the continent.

This comes owing to developments in Barca’s latest fixture, on Thursday night.

Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action, in their Champions League season opener.

The Blaugrana have made the trip to the Stade Louis II, for a meeting with Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.

As things stand, the sides are deadlocked at a goal apiece, after Maghnes Akliouche’s fine opener was cancelled out by an equally superb strike on the part of Lamine Yamal.

As much, though, only came after Barcelona were reduced to ten men inside the opening ten minutes of action in France.

After Marc-André ter Stegen’s dismal pass out of defence was capitalised on by Takumi Minamino, Eric García was unfortunate to fall into the Monaco frontman, culminating in a straight red card.

Fresh off his first start of the new season, the former Manchester City man, as a result, will be suspended for Barca’s next Champions League fixture.

This will come on October 1st, against Swiss giants Young Boys.
