Barcelona star sends public thank you message to teammate after Benfica | OneFootball

Barcelona star Eric García has taken to social media, to send a message of appreciation to teammate Pedri.

This comes owing to the latter’s contributions against Benfica on Tuesday night.

Barcelona are of course fresh off the most remarkable of victories on the continent.

After making the trip to Portugal for a Champions League showdown with Benfica, the Blaugrana found themselves in a two-goal hole inside the closing 15 minutes.

A trio of late goals, however, ultimately proved enough to guide Hansi Flick’s visitors to the right side of a 5-4 result at the Estádio da Luz.

Crucial to the late turnaround was the aforementioned Eric García, who nodded home Barca’s equaliser from close range with 86 minutes on the clock.

And, as alluded to above, in the game’s aftermath, the Spaniard has moved to reveal his appreciation for the man who laid his goal on.

As part of a post across his social media platforms, Eric sent a ‘thank you’ to Pedri, after the midfielder’s sumptuous cross left his fellow countryman with a simple task in heading home:

‘Yesssssss! This team is crazy! Victory in Lisbon to stay on top of the Champions League. And another goal, thanks for the gift, Pedri’
