Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has on Monday evening sparked fears when it comes to his availability to face Borussia Dortmund tomorrow night.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the situation.

Barcelona are of course set to return to action on Tuesday, when they make the trip to Germany for a Champions League quarter-final 2nd-leg meeting with the aforementioned Dortmund.

The Blaugrana head into the fixture boasting a lofty lead, owing to a 4-0 rout in Catalunya’s capital last week.

Rotations, in turn, are widely expected to be made use of by Hansi Flick and his coaching staff at Signal Iduna Park.

And as alluded to above, one such enforced change may well be forthcoming at centre-forward.

As per a report from MD:

‘Robert Lewandowski is looking set to miss out at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday. During the pre-match training session, Lewandowski could be seen chatting with manager Hansi Flick; his assistant Marcus Sorg; and one of the team’s fitness coaches, Pepe Conde. While speaking to them, the striker was touching the back of his left thigh.’

The assumption, in turn, is that the veteran goalscorer will be rested against his former club, allowing for Ferran Torres to take over starting duties.
