Barcelona star still absent from training before Sevilla clash | OneFootball

Barcelona star Dani Olmo is yet to link up with the rest of his teammates in training in Catalunya’s capital.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

Midfielder Olmo has for his part of course been sidelined since last month.

After enjoying a stellar start to life in Barcelona colours following his summer arrival from RB Leipzig, the 26-year-old was struck down by a hamstring injury during a La Liga meeting with Girona.

The hope was that Olmo would return to group training early this week, with a view to playing his part off the bench in the Blaugrana’s upcoming weekend meeting with Sevilla.

This, however, has since not proven the case.

After the Euro 2024 winner was absent from Hansi Flick’s orders on Monday, the same remained the case on Tuesday.

Whilst the likes of Fermín López and Gavi continue to close on imminent returns to the pitch, Olmo’s situation, in turn, appears a little less certain.
