FC Barcelona are working against time to secure the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in La Liga for the second half of the season.
The summer arrivals were only registered until December 31, that too with the Catalans making use of the salary space created by long-term injuries to Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen.
Even with the Nike deal now agreed, the Blaugrana are still short of returning to the 1:1 rule and are exploring other avenues, including trying to get a precautionary measure from the court, to register Olmo and Victor.
Amidst all this, the Daily Mail reports that Dani Olmo’s agent, Andy Bara, is in England, particularly in Manchester, today even as the registration problem drags on.
The Barcelona midfielder’s representative flew to Manchester by private jet ahead of City’s game with Everton and was due to be attending the game.
As has been reported in the past, the Spanish international can leave Barcelona for free if he is not registered by the club at any point during his contract.

It has given way to speculations that Manchester City and Arsenal are monitoring the 26-year-old’s registration situation currently, waiting to swoop in if things go wrong.
Now, it has been made clear that Olmo’s priority has always been to continue at Barcelona and the UEFA Euro 2024 winner has not given any thought to the idea of a possible departure in January.
But Bara’s timing of the visit to England does raise questions if the agent is trying to have a backup plan ready for the Spaniard in case things do not work out as far his registration is concerned.
Contacted by the Daily Mail, Bara confirmed: “Yes, it is correct I am in Manchester. I am here on holidays.”
Barça, for their part, are optimistic about receiving the precautionary measure from the court which would allow Olmo as well as Victor to play without any problems.
If that route fails, they have a Plan B in place in the form of the Spotify Camp Nou VIP seat sales, which could rake in €120 million.
