The first rule in professional football is to never underestimate one’s opposition irrespective of the run of momentum the team is on.
For Barcelona, it is thus vital that they keep their legs grounded ahead of Wednesday night’s clash against Crvena Zvezda, a team who have been in stunning form domestically but poor in the UEFA Champions League so far.
The Catalans, for their part, are riding a great wave of momentum and are the favourites, but conquering the Serbian side’s stadium will not be easy by any measure.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Barcelona administrator Bojan Krkic commented on his thoughts ahead of tonight’s clash which will be special for him given his Serbian roots. After all, his father played for Red Star Belgrade back in his day.
“It will be a difficult match; every Champions League match is,” he said on the upcoming game.

“For me, it is special to be here, since I did not have the opportunity to play when I was a footballer, and we are going to enjoy the game,” he added.
Elaborating on what his father shared with him about his days at Crvena Zvezda, Bojan said,
“My father spoke to me many times about his career and his life here. It’s an honour that my father is from Serbia and that he has played in this club; it’s an honour.”
He even spoke on the atmosphere that is expected at the venue, especially with the stadium being sold out and the ever-passionate Belgrade fans expected to be in full swing.
“The atmosphere will be very beautiful. They are the soccer games we like to play, and I already want to be here tomorrow.”
