Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in strengthening their attacking options for the upcoming season, and Ferran Torres has emerged as a key target for both London clubs.

According to Fichajes, the Barcelona winger, known for his versatility and attacking flair, is seen as a valuable addition to their respective squads.

This interest is not a sudden development. During the previous winter transfer window, Barcelona received enquiries regarding Torres.

However, the Catalan club chose to retain him at the time. That said, the possibility of a summer sale remains open, particularly if Barcelona need to generate funds to stabilise its finances.

Arsenal and Tottenham are still keen

Arsenal’s interest is largely driven by their manager Mikel Arteta, who is familiar with Torres from his time in the Premier League.

Arteta views the former Manchester City forward as a strong candidate to add depth and creativity to the Gunners’ attack.

Given Arsenal’s ongoing search for a winger and a centre-forward, Torres fits neatly into their transfer strategy.

Tottenham Hotspur are equally keen on securing the Spanish international. The club’s management believes that Torres’ skill set would inject much-needed energy and dynamism into their attacking play.

With Spurs aiming for a potential return to European competitions, strengthening their squad will be essential, and Torres appears to be a fitting candidate for this mission.

On Barcelona’s end, Torres has not cemented himself as a regular starter under Hansi Flick, although his performances are still keeping him valid at the club.

Despite that, it is not ruled out that the club remains open to selling him if a substantial offer is made.

Barcelona’s strategic planning, both on the sporting and financial fronts, will play a crucial role in determining Torres’ future. Should the Catalan giants receive a bid that meets their valuation, they may be inclined to part ways with the talented winger.
