Barcelona’s dominant attacking display under Hansi Flick continues to turn heads as they surpass last season’s total goal tally in record time.
Their 4-1 victory over Sevilla cemented their status as a scoring powerhouse, taking their total to 113 goals for the 2024-25 season — already three more than the 110 goals they netted across all competitions last season.
What makes this achievement remarkable is the efficiency with which the team has delivered these results.
While it took 53 matches to reach their tally last season under Xavi, this time Barcelona have achieved it in just 36 games — a difference of 17 fewer matches.
Against Sevilla, the scoring began early when Robert Lewandowski found the net just seven minutes into the match, matching last season’s total of 110 goals.

Fermin Lopez followed suit in the 46th minute to raise the count to 111. Raphinha added his contribution in the 55th minute, while Eric Garcia sealed the deal in the 89th minute, bringing the tally to an impressive 113 goals.
Barcelona currently lead La Liga in goal-scoring, having already netted 64 times this season — comfortably ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who have 51 goals to their name.
The Catalan giants are now eyeing the 116-goal mark achieved during the 2016-17 campaign under Luis Enrique, which stands as their best attacking season in recent history.
The all-time record for goals in a single season belongs to Real Madrid, who scored 121 goals in 2011-12.
Lewandowski continues to be a pivotal figure in Barcelona’s success. His goal against Sevilla not only equalled his scoring tally from last season but also brought him closer to surpassing his 22-23 record.
With 19 goals so far in the league, he leads the Pichichi race, staying ahead of Kylian Mbappe, who trails with 16.
