An unusual story centering on on-loan Barcelona talent Vitor Roque has come to the fore on Wednesday evening.
This comes after the Brazilian was an initial no-show at the airport for Real Betis’ latest away fixture.
Manuel Pellegrini’s troops are due to return to action on Thursday night, when they make the trip to The Planet Group Arena for a Europa Conference League meeting with Gent.
The Verdiblancos’ players and staff, in turn, convened at the airport on Wednesday, ahead of boarding a private flight to Belgium.
A notable absence from the group arriving for the flight, though, was the aforementioned Vitor Roque.
As per a report from El Chiringuito TV, the 19-year-old was nowhere to be seen upon Manuel Pellegrini’s squad convening earlier today.
No one, it is claimed, had any idea as to Roque’s whereabouts, to the point that members of staff were captured on camera asking after the striker.
Roque ultimately arrived to board the flight, albeit with his teammates and coaches likely to have been left altogether unimpressed by the youngster’s late show.
