Bayern Munich captain and starting goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is now expected to make the matchday squad for the upcoming Champions League quarter-final second leg against Inter on Wednesday night, despite concerns surrounding his fitness at the beginning of the week.
Inter will host Bayern in San Siro for the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie, which the Nerazzurri currently lead 2-1 after goals from Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi in Bavaria last week.
Vincent Kompany had to do without several key first-team players for the first leg: Neuer, Dayot Upamecano, Hiroki Ito, Alphonso Davies, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Jamal Musiala and Kingsley Coman among them.

While there had been hopes of Neuer, Pavlovic and Coman recovering in time to face Inter the second time around, reports from Sky DE on Monday suggested that the veteran stopper will not make it back from his recent muscular injury in time to face the Nerazzurri in Milan.
However, Sky pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, reporting on Tuesday, confirms that Neuer is in fact due to be part of the Bayern squad on Wednesday evening, although it has not been confirmed either way whether he is in a condition to start.
If Neuer is not selected as a starter, then 21-year-old Jonas Urbig will take to the field instead, as he did in the first leg.
