According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are unlikely to offer Thomas Müller a new deal before the end of the season.

It is understood that the 35-year-old’s contract at the Allianz Arena will expire this summer, but Der Rekordmeister are not considering Müller’s future at the club a priority.

As stated in the report, there is a belief in Bavaria that Müller’s career is coming to an end, with a slight expectation that he may decide to hang up his boots at the end of the season.

While it had previously been reported that the record champions would offer both Müller and Manuel Neuer new deals, as of now, it appears as though the shot-stopper will be the only one receiving a contract extension.

Having announced his international retirement shortly after Euro 2024, could Müller be close to announcing his decision to call it time upon his club career just weeks after becoming Bayern’s all-time appearance holder?
