John Eustace's side have enjoyed a strong start on home soil this season

Ewood Park has been a source of home comforts for Blackburn Rovers at the start of the 2024/25 season.

The previous campaign saw the club struggle on their own turf, winning just six home league games all season, as they narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship.

However, things have been different under head coach John Eustace since the start of the current campaign, with Rovers still unbeaten on home soil.

Indeed, Blackburn have won five of the six home league games they have played in the beginning of the 2024/25 Championship campaign.

With the Lancashire outfit still waiting for a first win away from home, continuing their success on their own turf could be vital to their prospects during the rest of the season.

But just what have those visiting Ewood Park made of the ground, when it comes to their off the pitch experiences of it?

Here, we've taken a look at some of the reviews of Blackburn Rovers' home ground on the travel review site TripAdvisor.

Ewood Park has a high TripAdvisor rating

On the whole, it does seem as though Ewood Park has made a positive impression on those who have been to visit the ground over the years.

In total, there are 152 reviews of the ground on TripAdvisor, and across those, Blackburn's home ground has managed to build up an average rating of 4/5.

Of those views, 74 have awarded the stadium a rating of 5/5, considered to be "excellent", with 47 more giving it a score of 4/5, or "very good".

There are 14 ratings of 3/5, "average", with five people rating their visit to Ewood Park at a 2/5, described as "poor".

Meanwhile, a total of 12 reviewers gave the stadium a mark of just 1/5, meaning they found their visit to Blackburn Rovers to be "terrible".

Many fans have also left accounts of their visits to Ewood Park, giving some insight into how they found their time there.

Fans detail their experience of Blackburn Rovers' home ground

Having been the club's home ground ever since 1890, there is plenty of history behind the stadium in this day and age.

There is a stadium tour hosted by the club, detailing the history of Rovers at the ground, which one recent visitor seemed to enjoy.

In a 5/5 review of the Ewood Park ground tour, the individual wrote: "Fantastic tour from start to end thanks to tour guide Andy. Very interesting to hear all the history of this proud Lancashire club and be shown around different parts of ground within the 90 minutes timescale. Definitely worth the money and not too expensive for all."

Of course, the main purpose of any ground is to host football matches, and one apparent groundhopper did seem to be left with a positive impression of a game, and the food on offer there.

In a 4/5 review written in April 2024, about what was Blackburn's last home game of the 2023/24 season, another visitor wrote: "Came down from Edinburgh for Blackburn v Coventry to take in a game. Good ground with passionate supporters just a shame the game finished 0-0. Have to say the halftime steak pie was amazing and is probably the best pie I’ve eaten at a football game, fair play!"

However, some have found their experiences of Ewood Park to be less positive, with one away fan writing: "It was an awful atmosphere, the home fans just sit there and let the away fans sing. There is no scoreboard/amount of time played for the away fans to see. Which is rude above all things as most, if not all of the other clubs provide them with one for them to see away. I find it unacceptable and hope it is rectified. As there is plenty of space to put one in the opposite corners to the away end or in the middle of the advertising board opposite the away end in the breakage from bottom and top".

That fan has seemingly neglected the fact there is a scoreboard that can be viewed from the lower tier of the Darwen End - where away support is housed - with a quick glance over the shoulder.

Given that review was also written days after QPR had lost 1-0 at Ewood Park on the opening day of the 2022/23, that result may possibly have also influenced their view of the trip as well.

On the whole, though, it does seem as though Blackburn Rovers can be pleased with the overall verdicts of Ewood Park from TripAdvisor, of that is the sort of thing they are worried about.
