Roma are said to be the favorites to land Everton striker Beto.
The ex-Udinese man is set to leave the Premier League side in January after being faced with extremely limited minutes over the last months.
According to Tuttosport, both the player and Everton wish to part ways – but only on one condition: a permanent transfer.
Everton would like to send Beto on loan with an obligation to buy set at 20 million euros.
Such a fee would rule out the likes of Torino who have shown interest in the attacker but cannot match the pricetag.
For Roma, however, conditions could be different. Since the Friedkins are the new owners of Everton it would be a family matter.
On the other hand, Roma would not represent the best option for Beto who would come in as Dovbyk’s deputy and would therefore not find the continuity of use desired to relaunch himself.
